Every year I run a picnic race for all yachts on the last Wednesday of February. An entry form can be found here:
Entry Form It is a handicap start at Point Piper, starting at 11.00am to 11.30 am to south reef YA buoy, back around Shark Island, back to Manly, and finish at Store Beach. The Amateurs are the starters, and provide a tender launch at Store Beach. There we provide kegs of beer with copious prawns and ice cream, and present the prizes at 2.45pm.There are 3 divisions 1st, 2nd, and Uptight. The Cavaliers are in the Uptight Division. No spinnakers are allowed, headsails may be boomed out.The cost is $30 per person on each yacht, and the event is sponsored by 3 organizations, one of which is the Australian Dental Association.
