NSW State Championships 2013 & Sydney Harbour Regatta

The NSW State Championships & Sydney Harbour Regatta (SHR) are here again! The short, sharp, windward-leeward series of up to 5 races over 2 days is a big contrast to the longer, strategic format of the normal series. It really tests the team skills of your crew and demands excellence and hard work all around!

Even though only one series of races are being held, if you want to enter for the State Championships, you need to make a prior entry for the SHR.

However, If you participate in a pointscore series at an assisting club, entry to the SHR is free! (Clubs are CYCA, MYC, NCYC, RANSA, RPAYC, RPEYC, RSYS, SASC, and SFS)

If you are entering the Cavalier 28 State Championships for the first time, the entry fee is also waived!!

Two Regattas, One Series of Races!

Just to be clear - the one series of races will be both the Sydney Harbour Regatta and the Cavalier 28 NSW State Championships.  Two entries will be required if you wish to qualify for both sets of prizes or simply wish to enter for the NSW Cavalier 28 Championships.  Prizes to be awarded for the Sate Championships can be found here.

Compliance Statement

If you are entering for the State Championships, you will be required to complete a short compliance statement - in the spirit of one design racing - as part of the entry process.  To keep it simple, you can do it on line.  If you did one of these last year and have not changed your sails, you do not need to do it again.

If you have recently updated either your #1 Jib or larger Spinnaker, please check that you have an up to date compliance entry.  The dates of current entries can be seen in the table at the bottom of this page.

The compliance statement form along with instructions can be found here.
